0fr TOKYO gallery, bookstore & café from Paris

If you love art, books, cafes....the best place for you in Tokyo might be here.

A French style book cafe,  0fr. TOKYO is opened in May, in Meguro.

0fr. is originally from Paris.

It is run by artists who select all the books such as for art, design, fashion etc.
This place is supposed also to held workshop by artists themselves.

One of the artists you find here is K-narf. (He happened to be in this photo!)

He is a French artist based in Paris, Singapore and Tokyo.
I know his art works for 5 years now and have visited his exhibition several times in Tokyo.

His art works are kind of new, they look like photograph, collage in street art mood.

What is interesting when watching his art works to me, as a Japanese, is
the fact that we can see what kind of ordinary things in Japan is extraordinary and catchy to foreigner.

I recommend to visit his site.
On his instagram, some photos of 0fr. are uploaded!

At a bar counter, we can have a cup of coffee and some food too.

The menu was written on the window.
Some of them seem to have been written by non-Japanese..
Looks lovely :)

Art works, clothing by artists and of course books are freely displayed in the shop.

The building is ordinary and a bit nostalgic Japanese house.

It's not very sophisticated, but having something artistic in a daily place
brings us somehow in an extraordinary world.

For those who want to be surrounded in relaxing artistic mood with books and café.

Nearest station (5min.) : Nakameguro, on Hibiya Line of Tokyo Metro or Tokyu Toyoko Line
Opening hours : Fri to Sun: 10:00 - 22:00
(*This opening hours is from their facebook page.
I recommend you to check out their facebook page, as it can be changed, and contact them to verify before visiting.)
